Since its release two years ago LADA XRAY has attracted thousands of drivers in Russia and worldwide. High road clearance and excellent maneuverability have helped the vehicle to the top of Russia’s automotive selling charts. XRAY keeps turning even better; starting February the 2018 model with added comfort and new safety options is available at a dealer near you.
LADA XRAY is a product of cooperation between AUTOVAZ and Renault-Nissan. Over 500 original parts have been designed for its production. The concept car was presented at Moscow Auto Show in 2012; serial production was launched at the end of 2015. At the beginning of 2016, the model was available for sale. Currently, LADA XRAY is available in 15 different configurations priced at 584,900 to 845,900 rubles.
The base model is equipped with a full range of up-to-date safety devices. Every vehicle comes with airbags on the driver side and passenger side; front seats are equipped with safety belts with tightening device and overload safeguard. For kids’ safety, automatic door locks are installed and ISOFIX fasteners for baby seats are mounted in the rear.
The ERA-GLONASS emergency alert system is also standard with all LADA XRAY versions. In case of a collision, GPS-transmitter will report all the details of the accident, including coordinates and speed of the vehicle to rescue services.
The vehicle is available with three basic gas engines: 1.6-liter engine (106 h/p); 1.6-liter engine (122 h/p); 1.8-liter engine (122 h/p). All of those are equipped with 5-speed mechanic or automated transmission (AMT). The latter combines functionality of traditional mechanic and automatic gearbox. It has been designed especially for the Russian market and can be operated regardless of outside temperatures. AMT has all the functions of mechanic gear, including engine braking, rocking free etc.
New LADA XRAY comes in two different options. Top modification Luxe with Prestige package and special edition Exclusive are equipped with cruise control and speed restriction. The system automatically controls the speed of a motor vehicle by taking over the throttle of the car to maintain a steady speed as set by the driver. The new option is available for a 1.6 liter-engine (122 h/p) with mechanic or automatic transmission.
